Foundation of the holding company
In June 2012, the holding company Novellas Healthcare was officially founded, thus finalising the grouping process that was announced and started in 2011. The old names will disappear systematically in order to make room for the four Business Units:

- Flexible Staffing Solutions
- Patient Programs
- Training & Coaching
In July 2012, Novellas Healthcare acquired the United Kingdom based healthcare recruitment company, Eames, Jones, Judge Hawkings (EJJH). This acquisition is the company's first step in the internationalisation that is aiming to establish a presence in all the important healthcare markets.
EJJH is a company with a proven track record based on professional backgrounds as human resources and recruitment specialists within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Since 1989 they have recruited from executive level upwards in medical, clinical research, regulatory affairs, sales, marketing, R&D, quality control, production, human resources, general management, and market research.
Based on our goal offering competent professionals, who can rapidly add value to the market, the group develops a series of specific courses for its co-workers. The professionals of Dedevan and "The International Nurse Company" therefore benefit from a continuous education and are familiar with the latest developments within their sector.
Since 2009, these courses are also offered to clients.
In order to improve and accelerate the inclusion of patients in clinical studies, our specialist nurses are outsourced to hospitals. In addition, we have been developing patient programs since 2009. “Our custom-made, multi-channel, communication programs raise awareness of patients concerning the importance of following their treatment and coaching them in managing their health. This occurs in collaboration with the attending doctor.”
Dedevan adresses the shortage of specialist professionals who support clinical trials. Its task is to introduce new talent into the market with our innovative ‘Junior CRA’ concept: to recruit and train the young highly educated in clinical research. After an internship in a company, they are placed through outsourcing. In a few years, Dedevan has become one of the market leaders in the outsourcing of clinical profiles. The ‘Junior CRA's’ are given a personal development plan and most of them continue to be employed by the clients of the group. This initiative has been expanded to management positions in clinical research, international profiles, regulatory affairs specialists and in quality control…
Initially, Denewet, Decat & Saelen focused on recruiting for commercial positions in the pharmaceutical industry and medical device companies. The company soon demonstrated remarkable growth.
The recruitment activities expanded to all possible functions within the industry (sales, marketing regulatory, medical, clinical, production, …), to positions in middle and top management, and to the entire healthcare sector.
